Video for the Desktop
The ET Group offers technology hardware solutions for server based video streaming from the world’s best manufacturers, including Cisco, Digital Rapids and V-Brick. These server hardware solutions are typically rack-mounted, high throughput servers that can transcode or convert many types of analog and digital video to desktop compatible streams. This can include MP4, H264, Quicktime, Windows Media and others. Used in conjunction with video portal or IPTV solutions, corporations can setup internal broadcasting systems to address many thousands of connections at once. Desktop streaming can be provided either live or on-demand and, depending on the software used, the client can provide complete interactivity. The ET Group has the skills and knowledge to create multi-cast or unicast stream services within the company network or even to WAN based network locations.
Mobile Video
The ET Group can provide the hardware and software required to create a complete mobile streaming solution. This would provide Smartphone users access to internal corporate video in a secure way. Standards such as HTTP or RTSP streaming can be configured and set up for the corporate client using the hardware streaming servers from Cisco, Digital Rapids or V-Brick. Mobile streaming requires careful planning and design to maintain security while also not overwhelming network resources. Mobile streaming, used in conjunction with intelligent gateway or proxy hardware from Aruba or BlueCoat Technologies, addresses these concerns.
