SMART Support Specialist
Job Description
OVERVIEW:
A leading Canadian integration company focused on providing end to end communication and collaboration solutions is looking for a technical person to join its Systems Engineering Team. The successful candidate will have an IT background and will provide high end support and technical trouble shooting services to our clientele. POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Attend site visits and client meetings/presentations to determine client’s needs and to provide support to sales representatives
- Assist sales associates in preparing proposals, recommending and engineering solutions to meet/exceed the client’s needs and expectations in regards to SMART Technologies products
- Work with the design team to certify complete, quality SMART installations and assist/complete equipment lists, floor plans and costing sheets in a timely fashion
- Generate as-built drawings
- Perform final adjustment and commissioning of installed systems
- Create test plans and test systems.
- Stay current with the latest AV technologies and products
Desired Skills & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Top candidates should possess an IT background with customer facing experience. Knowledge of AV is helpful but not critical. Networking background, end user training, Microsoft knowledge are all helpful.

- Responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized.
- Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to easily move from one task to the next effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Visio or AutoCAD skills would be helpful.
